Positve Affect

Positive experiments, and great outcomes,  we wanted to get parents participation at my daycare.  First, at the beginning of the year we asked if parents would donate 2 hours a week at the daycare. We received no response out of 42 children no one responded. Secondly, I had a Health facilitator come out to do a Golden Nugget. A Golden Nugget is a new vegetable that has been offered to the children, that went over great, so we would like for our infants that are eating to have Avocados at home because they liked the avocado too, we wanted all children to be served Avocados at home.  Plus, we hyped it up by giving away free boxes of Crispy Creme Donuts for all parent that participated.  I told them “Come Early While Supplies last”, but we really had enough donuts for all the families.  We actually had 97 percent of the parents participate and those that did not had to work. Now. we do not have to ask, they just come sometimes we have to many and it has been go...

MY PERSONAL RESEARCH

MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS, RESEARCH AND HANDS ON EXPERIENCE WITH THE INFANT/TODDLER Colleagues, my chosen topic for week 1 was infant/toddler development. My subtopics were the importance of understanding infant/toddlers/ development, the vital aspect of their development and behaviors that are portrayed by infants/toddlers. They keep doing it over and over again and are elated with happiness, while engrossed in accomplishing their task. Its’ like the infant or toddler is saying (“I like this, let me keep doing it until someone notices I have succeeded in the task)”.  It is just so adorable once they are aware of their success. Nevertheless, when a task is conquered by an infant/toddler I can almost see their confidence, and competence escalate to levels unknown.  I enjo...

Final Blog Assignment

Final Blog Assignment The first consequence learned through browsing the sites of the alternative assignments internationally is that each geographic area is having basically the same issues that we have here in the United States.  In some areas it is worse than others, especially for the female child because as they reach the age of puberty. The facilities that are used for teaching no longer accommodate them because of the of things females will need at a certain age due to not having the resources available. International awareness has really inspired to do more and search more because some of us do not even realize how fortunate we are. The second consequence that I learned from browsing the international websites is that a female child goes through many atrocious actions and are  not safe. One issue is that 17 countries in Africa still Marry females off before the age of 15 or mutilate their genitals. I was not aware these horrifying things still took place....
