What
surprising facts/insights/new ideas about early childhood did you gain from
exploring this international early childhood website?
From exploring the international early childhood website,
I was able to get some progressive insights and reflections about early
childhood. Any country or entity needs to have a legit organization that is
tasked with ensuring the plight of children/infant toddlers is adequately
considered. For example, in this case, Early Childhood Australia is a
registered
charitable organization
that is focused on ensuring quality, equality, and social justice for all the
aspects relating to the education and care of children from birth to eight
years. This organization relies on the support of the society to achieve its
mandate.
Also,
I was able to have a glance on the aspect of education for sustainability in
early childhood. Educators and other relevant professionals are expected to
build sustainability in care services and early childhood education. A
sustainable education also aims at creating living and knowledge spaces that
reflect and inspire maintainable practices now and into the prospect.
Noteworthy, the website also emphasizes the need of having or ensuring parents
are concerned about their children well-being. Parents’ resources are clearly
stipulated in the site (resource on health &nutrition, separation anxiety,
transitions to school, and sleeping). These resources are significant in the
child development setting.
What
other noteworthy information did you find on this website?
The
website consists of other noteworthy information such as the Early Childhood
Australia Code of Ethics. This code of ethics consists of vital information
that stipulates on the appropriate and expected behavior of early childhood
professionals. Notably, this code of ethics is based on the principles of
United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1991). It provides an
outline for reflection about the ethical duties of early childhood
professionals.
There
are significant submissions and statement on the website. They act as policies
for early childhood education and care.
Some of these policies are; statement on young children and digital
technology, the state of early learning in Australia report 2016, statement of
intent on supporting children’s rights, and statement on the inclusion of
children in early childhood education and care. The website also showcases
seminars and events that are focused on advocating for children rights and
well-being.

DeleteHi Sheila!
ReplyDeleteYou have created an amazing blog about your specific international selection. The topic, the importance of parents supporting infants and toddlers is very powerful. It is essential to the child's development to implement the role of an effective mother or father as soon as the child is born; because, children's brains develop as soon as they enter into the world. As the correct parenting skills are implemented throughout the child's early learning stages, it sets the child up for a bright and successful future. Thank you for sharing your blog!
